ABOUT:
Cameras Through The Years:
Growing up, there was a Kodak Browning Starmite camera laying around not being used. I would fool around with it pretending to take pictures with it even though it had no film. I do not recall if I ever had the chance to use it with film, but it sure made me want to load it up and snap away.
For my 8th grade graduation dad gave me a Kodak Instamatic that used 126 film cartridges. I went to town with that camera for several years! I have albums (a large tote of them sits in my closet) of pictures I would take with it. From around the house to the top of Clouds Rest in Yosemite, that camera went everywhere with me! Check out the story in the Portfolio section of taking it to a show at The Whiskey A Go-Go in Los Angeles when I was 19. Silly boy, no cameras allowed!
Photography took a back seat to my musical endeavors which included performing and sound engineering for live shows. During that time a Kodak Ektralite 10 (110 film cartridges) replaced the Instamatic. It was eventually replaced in 2007 with a Canon Powershot, my first digital camera. Of course, I have taken hundreds of pictures with my cell phones, the Samsung Galaxy line being my favorite.
Today:
I am now using a Canon full-frame mirrorless camera and loving it! With Up-Tempo Images I am combining my love of photography with a commitment to excellent customer service.
